Lighting acts as both a technical and emotional tool. Soft shadows and diffused highlights create gentle, welcoming scenes, while sharper, directional light adds structure and precision. Designers choose lighting styles based on mood: warm for comforting narratives, cool for modern minimalism, and neutral for product clarity.
In soft 3D visuals, lighting is especially important. Jelly surfaces, inflatables, and rounded shapes rely on light to reveal their character.
